Jesse Renfors has dedicated 13 years to professional coffee roasting, driven by a passion for crafting the perfect cup and a strong background in hospitality. His journey began with formative years at Bill White Enterprises in Park City, Utah, where he developed his understanding of exceptional guest service and the intricacies of the hospitality industry.

While in Park City, Jesse also launched his first coffee venture, Powder Daze, at The Canyons Ski Resort. This vibrant coffee shop became the quintessential après-ski destination for mountain locals, focusing on premium coffee, delicious crepes, and a lively community atmosphere.

Jesse then brought that passion and knowledge to Wyoming, notably founding and operating multiple Cody Coffee Roaster locations and the beloved The Station in Cody, Wyoming. Further innovating, he launched Teardrop Coffee Shop, a unique teardrop trailer transformed into a mobile espresso bar offering brewed and iced coffee, smoothies, and sweet and savory crepes.

A few years ago, Jesse returned to his roots in beautiful Upper Michigan and opened Provisions MQT in Marquette. This café has quickly grown into a true "Cheers of the coffee world," a testament to his ability to foster community alongside exceptional coffee and hospitality.

Throughout Jesse's ventures, his wife, Michelle, has been the backbone of the businesses. While maintaining her demanding full-time career in the very time-intense pharmaceutical drug development industry, Michelle has consistently managed all bookwork, scheduling, and HR, providing essential support and allowing Jesse to focus on his craft.

Now, as the visionary behind The Roast Coach Coffee Roaster, Jesse brings his comprehensive expertise directly to unique locations in Marquette and beyond. Operating a state-of-the-art 10 kg gas-fired drum roaster from a self-contained, licensed commercial kitchen on wheels, Jesse meticulously crafts small-batch roasts. His passion ensures that whether roasting by Lake Superior's shore or at their remote cabin, The Roast Coach delivers an exceptional, fresh, and artisan coffee experience right to your cup.
